Project Planning and Cost Analysis
The property is located at a transport hub in Lahti. The task was to determine the constructability and costs of the new logistics centre, taking into account the operator’s requirements, as well as investigating the development possibilities of the plot’s connections. How can the challenging elevation of the plot be developed to meet the requirements of a modern logistics centre?
The project planning phase was conducted visually. The requirements of the property owner and operator were clarified using workshop methods. Main drawings were created based on the clarified requirements and needs. A cost information model was developed based on the main drawings. The BIM made the result visually clear and informative, including the entire project content and material information. By leading the connection and constructability studies in close cooperation with the authorities, the latest information was gathered.
The project plan formed a knowledge-based, detailed report on the logistics centre’s constructability, costs, and plot development possibilities, forming a solid foundation for the investment decision.
